Internship - Environmental Sustainability - Remote

Internship Summary

This intern will support the Environmental Sustainability unit in establishing the agency’s greenhouse gas emission baseline. The role will give the intern significant experience in greenhouse gas accounting as well as connection with the Environmental Sustainability programs of Global Ministries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collect data from various departments and partners.
  • Organize and clean data.
  • Calculate emissions using tools consistent with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol.
  • Identify strategies for long-term data collection.
  • High school degree or equivalent; must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program.
  • Self-directed and able to work with indirect supervision.
  • Proven PC skills, highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams and), Zoom and Grammarly is a plus.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess affinity for working with numbers.
  • Must have high attention to detail.


Job Information

  • Hours: 17 Hours Between 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (Monday – Friday), Flexible Start/Stop TBD
  • Location: Remote Work
  • Overtime Eligible: No
  • Classification: Internship – Part Time
