IT Audit Intern - Remote

3.5

Overview

As an Intern, you will receive cross-functional exposure through our fully immersive internship program.

Interns will support the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analysis, and dashboards to drive key business decisions. Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, validation, and documentation. Analyze and solve problems at their root while simultaneously stepping back to understand the broader context. Interns will also assist with other duties within their department as needed.

The IT Audit/Analytics Intern will primarily support the Internal Audit department with data analytics, such as creating and maintaining dashboards by utilizing data visualization tools. These activities will include meetings and walkthroughs with key members of management to understand the areas of risks, or data, that management is seeking from these dashboards. The intern will also assist the IT Audit team with phases of audit projects (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley), including planning, walk-throughs, evidence gathering, documentation, and remediation testing (if applicable). They will also conclude on the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR), by analyzing and testing IT General controls, IT application controls, and IT security controls. Based on the test results, the intern will assist in identifying areas of improvement and provide management with actionable recommendations to address the risk(s) identified, via Office Depot’s Governance, Risk, & Compliance (GRC) tool.
