The Position

iD Tech is looking for a Junior Staff Accountant with an eagerness to start their accounting career in a hands-on role. This is a remote position in which you will be a key support for the accounting and finance function. This is the perfect opportunity for someone looking to begin their accounting career in a mentoring and encouraging environment.

The Responsibilities

• Ensure proper coding for natural accounts, departments, and divisions for all expense reports
• Approve and import personal expense report transactions into the accounting system (Net Suite)
• Obtain clarification and information from expense report users regarding corporate credit card transactions in order to ensure amounts are recorded accurately
• Assist with monthly close process and annual audit
• Take part in monthly financial statement review
• Prepares monthly prepaid schedules
• Create various journal entries as necessary including all cash journal entries
• Manages the company’s online merchant accounts
• Responds to chargebacks online
• Assists Controller and Accounting team with year-end audit
• Prepares AP and other Accounting documents requested for annual audit
• Work directly with auditors for any questions related to expense reports and other general Accounting
• Provides information to Payroll to ensure the timely submission of reimbursement requests

The Qualifications

• Strong desire to grow your accounting career
• 4 year bachelor's degree in accounting
• 0-1 years of related experience preferred
• General ledger experience preferred
• Prior experience with Net Suite a plus
• Proficient with MS Excel & Google Sheets
• Strong attention to detail and ability to problem solve
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Comfortable working with colleagues at all levels of the organization
• Team player with the ability to thrive independently
