WegoWise by AppFolio is a mission-driven for-profit company, striving to reduce energy and water use in buildings. Buildings represent 40% of all US-based energy use. WegoWise provides utility benchmarking and building retrofit measurement & verification services, building performance monitoring, sustainability compliance reporting, and analytics that provide useful, actionable information to make more informed operational and long term real estate investment decisions. What we're looking for:

WegoWise by AppFolio is looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented intern to work on projects that support the organization’s customer base. The intern will work part time (~20 hours/week) from January-June.

Responsibilities:

We are seeking a candidate that is extremely diligent, reliable, and committed to contributing to the growth of an exciting company in the clean technology space. Our ideal candidate is a creative and flexible self-starter with impeccable attention to detail and ability to manage projects effectively with direction but without extensive oversight. They will be expected to work well gathering data independently from a variety of sources and enjoy interacting with others to accomplish tasks.

• Collaborate with our team of Customer Success Managers to understand customer needs and goals and activities required to meet those needs and goals
• Support the customer onboarding process by assisting with building research, utility data collection, and building setup in the WegoWise platform
• Support maintenance of accurate and updated data in customer accounts
• Assist Customer Success Managers in responding to ad hoc customer questions, needs, and concerns
• Support the team in implementing strategic improvements to Customer Success processes and methodologies related to all aspects of the customer life cycle
• Assessing a client’s account for energy and water accuracy and completeness
• Additional special projects as needed related to supporting the generation and maintenance of data scraping tools, supporting the WegoWise data collection process, and other analytical work

Skills and Knowledge:

• Currently pursuing an Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Well-organized and able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
• Location: Remote
