5G Wireless Software Engineer Intern - Summer 2022
The 5G, AI and Edge Computing industries are beginning to merge and as such NVIDIA is crafting AI-on-5G platform to support this movement. The Aerial 5G team is responsible for creating the NVIDIA’s 5G solution to connect AI and Edge Computing. As a member of the Aerial 5G team your role will be to help define a Private 5G system on NVIDIA’s campus, specifically defining 5G system parameters and modeling the wireless propagation conditions (including base stations and devices) to ensure various service
What you’ll be doing:
Will be designing a Private 5G system based on NVIDIA’s AI-on-5G solution. This system will be used to support various use cases such as Computer Vision, Robotics, and Cloud XR services.
Simulating the Wireless propagation conditions on our NVIDIA campus to understand its characteristics to successfully craft the Private 5G network.
Evaluating 5G system parameters impacting performance to ensure our target requirements are met.
What we need to see:
Pursuing a Bachelor, Master or PHD Degree in either Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
Good understanding of the Wireless Propagation environment, specifically multipath fading, Shadowing, etc.
Experience in simulating wireless digital communication systems resulting in coverage plots, BLER results, SNR, Link Budget analysis, etc.
Passion to learn and improve people’s lifestyle through new technology deployment.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Good knowledge of 5G NR wireless standard.
Have created simulations of 5G wireless digital communications.
Participated in any wireless measurement campaign.
