Enterprise Risk Management Intern- Remote/Nationwide

This intern (part-time or full-time) will work with the Director, ERM, Analyst, ERM and the SVP, ERM to execute the company's Model Risk Management and Counterparty Governance activities, as well as our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and general Business Insurance Programs. The intern will assist with monitoring Radian's Model Inventory, populating templates with information from the model documentation and other sources, assisting with preparation for Model Governance Subcommittee/Committee meetings and the identification of new/other models being used by Radian. Additionally, the intern will obtain hands-on experience preparing materials for our quarterly ERM review meetings, will respond to Insurance-related requests, will participate in various ERM-related meetings and will assist with the development of enterprise-wide counterparty analysis/reporting.

What You Will Do

  • Monitor Radian's Model Inventory and assist with preparation for Model Governance Subcommittee/Committee meetings.
  • Maintain the repository of ERM performance metrics/documentation stored on ERM's business intelligence platform (Workiva).
  • Assist with the development of enterprise-wide counterparty analysis/reporting, including the identification and assessment of Radian's counterparties, the development of a vendor insurance exception page in Lockpath and the creation of reporting on key metrics.
  • Gain an understanding of Radian's corporate insurance policies and process Evidence of Insurance requests, assist with claim filings and gather data for insurance policy renewals as needed.
  • Assist with special projects, such as the preparation of PA DOI filings (e.g. Form F) and the development of ERM policies and procedures
  • Prepare materials to facilitate risk discussions (e.g. agendas, minutes, presentation materials and analysis), participate in the discussions and assist with other ERM-related activities.

  • Ability to manage tasks and time commitments to meet project deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Education:

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Student pursuing a degree in Finance, Risk Management, Insurance or any related analytical fields preferred. Prefer student entering senior year or graduating college with 3.0+ GPA.

Location: The intern would primarily be working virtually, but may work part of the time in Radian's Wayne and/or New Jersey offices if he or she can commute there easily.
