JOB DESCRIPTION
The Junior Art Director, in conjunction with a Copywriter must generate creative ideas to solve the marketing challenge as outlined on the agency/client creative brief above and beyond the conceptual. Above and beyond the conceptual, the Junior Art Director is specifically responsible for the look and technical aspects (layouts, storyboards, design) of creating advertising elements for specified media.
WHAT YOU DO

  • Knowledge and understanding of TV, PRINT, OOH, ALT MEDIA, and DIGITIAL tactics.
  • Demonstrate the ability to think creatively and provide marketable solutions for advertising problems.
  • Keep a status on all on-going and make sure all deliverables are met in a timely manner.
  • Ensure brand guidelines are followed and adhered to by immediate team and in all work that team produces.
  • Ensure synergy when working with General Market across all components of a campaign.
  • Adhere to established formats and work within budget boundaries.
  • Ability to interpret creative briefs and client feedback.
  • Ability to generate big ideas for 360 ad campaigns.
  • Follow through on production of accepted ideas with the assistance of Senior Art Director / ACD / CD.
  • Keep projects on in progress and schedule with supervision of Senior Art Director / ACD / CD.
  • Stay in close contact and work in cooperation with Senior Art Director / ACD / CD and producers during pre-production, production, and post-production.
  • Must deliver polished and well-designed creative elements for internal and external presentations under supervision.
  • Ability to travel for shoots and client presentations under supervision.
  • Ability to understand and handle print and broadcast production from conceptual phase to finish under supervision.
  • Begins to participate in the process of selecting and evaluate director’s reels and photographer’s books alongside Senior Art Director / ACD / CD.
  • Begin to participate in the process of giving direction to photographers, designers, directors, editors, and other vendors as they relate to the creative output alongside Senior Art Director / ACD / CD.
  • Begin to participate in client presentations under supervision.

ABOUT YOU

  • An ad school or liberal arts (4 year) degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of an associates (2 year) degree in advertising, art, graphic art or design.
  • 1-3 years related experience.
  • An overall understanding of Web production and the capabilities within digital channels.
  • Experience working with agency partners and multiple client stakeholders of all levels.
  • Proficiency in presentation skills a requirement for internal creative presentations.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and effectively handle a wide variety of work.
  • Must be comfortable using a MAC, proficient and thorough knowledge of the following software application is required: All CS4 programs, PowerPoint and Acrobat programs, Keynote.
  • Flash and other editing software is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Must be hungry and willing to learn.
  • Work well under pressure.
  • Experience in Multicultural marketing preferred.
