Motion Design Intern (Spanish-bilingual)

We're offering a paid internship to an exceptional Motion Design student who knows how to set a good story in motion. As an intern supporting our creative campaigns, you will be fully integrated into the Creative Team, tackling work on the cutting-edge of entertainment. You’ll get real-world experience in a diverse, international company and contribute to building how WEBTOON communicates and engages with its fast-growing social audience.

This internship requires out-of-the-box thinking, problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and a passion for introducing WEBTOON’s characters and stories to new audiences. In return, you will be working on everything from trailers to TikToks ads and your work will be seen by millions of comic fans worldwide.

What You’ll Do

  • Work with the Creative Director and Senior Creatives to make motion for social and digital advertising content to drive WEBTOON user acquisition through ads.
  • Use your superior animation and directorial skills to raise the bar on motion and video work at WEBTOON.
  • Elevate WEBTOON’s characters and series by creating breakthrough visual treatments that are culturally relevant, on-trend, and resonate with target audiences.
  • Understand digital ad products and placements and make channel-specific visuals that embody best practices for each platform.
  • Stay on top of regional industry/advertising trends, as well as WEBTOON fan culture.
  • Work with the Project Manager so that deliverables and deadlines are met within budget.

Who You Are

  • You are a motion design student looking to break into the entertainment, advertising, technology, media, publishing, or gaming industries.
  • Business level Spanish proficiency
  • The top of your class in typography, color and layout with a portfolio of coursework that demonstrates exceptional ability to transform digital design into compelling, narrative storytelling.
  • Willing to roll up your sleeves and wear many hats as necessary to help your teammates.
  • You are a master of After Effects and can dip your toes into Premiere as necessary.
  • A team player who strives to design to engage and delight our WEBTOON readers from the heart—not the ego.
  • You have a passion for pop culture! (Comics, games, television, animation, film etc.)
