Design Internship
Apollo is building tools that help product developers build and ship innovative experiences to their customers. We’re at the heart of a significant shift in web and mobile application development. We're building the tools needed to develop a data graph in productive and efficient ways, making your system's data both easier to work with internally and easier to access for use cases beyond just development.
As a UX Design Intern at Apollo, you’ll work closely with members of the Design team and other functions from around the company to translate user needs into design work that is functional and appealing. Design at Apollo is still a relatively new function. You will play a role in helping to identify opportunities for usability and accessibility improvements to our design system. What You'll Do
You’ll report to the Design Manager and also closely partner with other company stakeholders.
Run an accessibility audit on our existing product interfaces, document your findings, and propose tactical solutions.
Work cross-functionally with Design, Product, and Engineering partners, providing and seeking feedback on projects.
Collaborate with the Design Manager to define new processes that improve our Product Design workflows. About You
You have an excellent portfolio showcasing a strong foundation in UX/UI design, visual design and/or interaction design. Additionally, you have case studies demonstrating your design process.
You have experience working with team members from different disciplines.
You have experience conducting research and documenting your findings.
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You can adequately explain design decisions and rationale.
If you are currently in school, you will graduate by Fall 2023 or earlier. This position can be done from anywhere in the US or Canada.
Internships are 3 months, and we are open to Spring, Summer, or Fall 2022 design interns.
