Janssen Scientific Affairs (JSA), LLC, a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is recruiting for multiple summer interns at the Horsham, PA, or virtual location, with travel to Titusville, NJ, as needed. Learning Excellence (LEx) – Located in Horsham, PA or Remote
The Learning Excellence (LEx) team enables Janssen Scientific Affairs & Medical Affairs (JSAMA) trainers & training roles to develop the JSAMA workforce of the future by reducing barriers to Learning & Development (L&D) Excellence. This is accomplished by reducing the burden of repetitive and redundant tasks and activities for trainers, including Therapeutic Area-agnostic curriculum and content design and evaluation, delivery and metrics, and defining gaps, analyzing root causes, and measuring outcomes of interventions to enable trainers to close gaps between existing and desired performance for trainers through an integrated learning experience technology.
Intern role:
The Summer Intern will provide support to the Learning Excellence team in the following ways:
Create learning strategies and instructional design of tools, templates, models, and frameworks
Write learning objectives and create learning plans and learning paths
Identify and curate learning resources
Identify best practices and trends in learning and development
Develop training communications, infographics, and other materials
Assist in managing projects
Assist with other duties as assigned
Successful candidates have an interest in the pharmaceutical industry as a potential career path. They demonstrate intellectual curiosity and seek opportunities to leverage their growing knowledge around learning and development strategies and instructional design. They have an interest in advancing their strong written and verbal communication skills and have a passion for educating others. They enjoy the creative process, applying a systematic approach, and leveraging instructional and motivational strategies in learning design.
Qualifications
Successful candidates are required to:
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university
Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Communications, Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or similar field
Interest in learning and development, communications, or instructional design and have good verbal & communication skills
Enjoys the creative process, applying a systematic approach, and leveraging instructional and motivational strategies in learning strategy and design
Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks
Excellent written and verbal skills
Ability to work individually (independently) as well as on a team
Housing is not provided; there is no reimbursement for interview-related expenses.
Be available to work full time (up to 40 hours) starting in May or June 2022 through August 2022, for at least 10 weeks.
Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent resident
Be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1-B status)
