Are you a curious and driven student interested in contributing to a dynamic Retail IT team at a Fortune 4 company? If so, our High School Retail IT Intern position is right for you!

This position allows you the opportunity to learn from and contribute to a diverse team responsible for delivering high impact solutions in support of CVS Health’s retail organization. There are numerous opportunities available, including internships in the following specializations: Application Development, Data Analysis, Store Support Center (Help Desk), and Quality Assurance.

This part time internship will take place from 2:30 to 5:00 after school three days a week. You will have the opportunity to agree to a schedule that works best for you and your leadership team. This internship will run from October 2021 through January 2022 with the potential to continue in 2022. At the end of the internship, Interns will have the opportunity to present out to their peers and IT leaders on their accomplishments and learnings from over the course of their internship.

We are looking for candidates who have:
  • Curiosity and passion for Computer Science & Information Technology
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well in teams
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail

Required Qualifications
  • Juniors or seniors in the Woonsocket PTECH program or computer science program
  • Have taken classes in computer science or information technology and earned a B grade or higher

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with writing code in at least one programming language
  • Familiar with Python, NodeJS, Java, .NET, JavaScript or HTML/DHTML and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with MS Access and writing SQL queries. Experience with writing complex SQL queries preferred
  • Experience with web technologies like HTML/CSS, JS or jQuery, Angular, DHTMLX
  • Some college level course work completed
