Location: * Headquartered in Downtown Seattle, remote work possible from AZ, CA, CO, FL, NM, OR, TN, UT, VA, WA
Work Schedule: Our typical business hours are 8:30-5:00 Monday-Friday.
Travel Requirements: Up to 10%

About the Position*:
Reporting to the Manager of Curriculum Lifecycle Maintenance, the Junior Instructional Designer is responsible for designing engaging, high value learning experiences that make a measurable difference in the lives of caregivers and the clients they support. The Instructional Designer will integrate best practices in instructional design, learning science, and educational technology to create online, instructor-led, and blended learning experiences that are scalable and highly impactful.

You Will: *

Conduct courseware quality assurance reviews to ensure full functionality and completion in
learning management systems; trouble-shoot any issues;
- Monitor and respond to course maintenance tickets and issues as they are received, coordinating across functional teams to ensure that issues are addressed in a timely manner and information is communicated effectively and appropriately;
- Manage the filing, naming, storage and retrieval of learning experience assets;
- Coordinate with team members to efficiently localize courseware and learning materials;
- Assist with courseware design and development processes;
- Help design and develop for online, blended, mobile, video and in-person learning needs;
- Create, revise and maintain course design documents, storyboards, voiceover and video scripts, facilitator guides, learner guides, presentation materials and other instructional resources and materials.;
- Research and stay current in trends and best practices in educational technology, adult education, blended learning and online learning;
- Perform other duties commensurate with the level of this position, as assigned.
You Will Need to Have:

1-3 years’ experience designing learning experiences for adults;
- Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, instructional technology, or similar field;
- Working knowledge of Articulate Storyline or a similar eLearning development tool;
- Experience in and understanding of storyboarding processes;
- Experience working in learning management systems such as Moodle;
- Attention to detail;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to work proactively with supervision;
- Ability to design creative, engaging interactions for adult learners;
- Strong understanding of competency based learning;
- Commitment to applying best practices in instructional design towards all learning products and experiences;
- Experience and comfort working in a fast paced, high change work environment.

Understanding of Localization best practices;
- Experience in ab education environment;
- experience designing competency-based learning;
- Master’s degree is a plus;
- Knowledge of ADA compliances in all learning environments.
