Corporate Brand Creative Design Intern
*This is a remote position with the possibility to work anywhere in the United States. Work hours will be in Eastern Standard Time.*
INTERNSHIP OBJECTIVES
The corporate brand creative team oversees brand journalism design, producing Innovation, LINK HERE 3x a year and the Garage.com, LINK HERE weekly. The team handles art direction, editorial and layout design, image research, and web design. In addition the team creates brand identities for documentary series, HP initiatives and campaigns. The team also oversees brand guidelines and education. The design intern will report to the Sr. Art Director, assisting her and the creative team with everything we do and will have the opportunity to learn by doing. The design intern’s core responsibilities will range from, but will not be limited to, layout design, typography studies, color studies, guideline design, image research and archiving, template design, social media design, Photoshop production and Illustrator work.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
The candidate must be pursuing a degree in graphic design with a strong background and love for typography. The candidate must be fluent in Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator; XD a plus. Candidate must be open to working on print and digital projects. Ideal candidate will be eager to learn, be proactive, organized and detailed-oriented and interested in a highly collaborative environment. No egos!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Layout design, image research, assisting with art direction of photo shoots and illustration assignments, updating website pages, newsletter production, typography studies, guideline documentation, photo archiving, social media asset design.
KEY DELIVERABLES
Design and production for print and digital products.
SKILLS and COMPETENCIES
Creative thinker with a strong sense of style and sophisticated typography sensibility. Interested in ideas but understands execution is equally important.
