Member Field Services-MBA Supply Chain Intern

What will you be Doing:

The MBA Supply Chain intern will work collaboratively with a team of cross-functional directors and analysts to assist with strategic initiatives for healthcare systems nationwide. The primary responsibility of this role will be focused on account management and aligning the Premier portfolio to the objectives of our membership. In Member Field Services, we work shoulder-to-shoulder with our members and member-dedicated field staff to help drive change from the inside out. We are key players in delivering exceptional clinical insights, knowledge, and expertise across key hospital service lines.

The MBA Supply Chain intern will participate in all aspects of driving revenue and savings for our members by identifying opportunities, analyzing and interpreting data, and presenting their findings to the membership. The intern will work in a collaborative environment that encompasses Supply Chain, Consulting, Technology, and Advocacy. They will be responsible for input on account level deliverables both internal and for the membership.

The MBA Supply Chain intern will also participate in organization wide internal activities including skill development, mentoring, continued education sessions, and access to both people and various analytical platforms.

This role must be pursuing a Master’s Degree in Related Area (e.g., MBA, MHI) and have an interest in healthcare supply chain.

Preferred Qualifications

Relevant Experience to include:

  • Tableau experience

  • Previous experience in healthcare, business, or finance

  • Have experience building complex operational and financial models, conducting ROI analysis, synthesizing recommendations, and presenting them to senior executives

  • Demonstrated interest in healthcare supply chain

  • Demonstrated capability to lead and show value from their efforts

Premier’s compensation philosophy is to ensure that compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive in order to attract and retain talented and highly skilled employees. Premier’s internal salary range for this role is $43,000 - $79,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location. Premier utilizes a wide-range salary structure to allow base salary flexibility within our ranges.
