Pérez Art Museum Miami’s (PAMM) marketing team is looking for an aspiring graphic designer to join us remotely! We will show you the ropes on best utilizing your creative skills to design engaging graphics and dynamic content for nationally ranked museum. This includes but is not limited to fliers, posters, photographs, motion graphics, videos, website content, newsletter templates, infographics, banner ads, and contributing to other marketing and outreach efforts as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires prior completion of FIU Service Excellence training or completion within first 30 days.
Ability to work in a team setting.
Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Office Suites.
Ability to take direction and work independently as needed.
Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with highly sensitive information.
Knowledge of PC operations.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally, and in writing.
Possess a high sense of responsibility and customer service skills.
Ability to solve problems independently.
Organizational and time-management skills.
Schoolwork and abilities in graphic design or Digital Media production.
Advertising, and/or marketing coursework a plus with interest in digital media marketing.
Solid computer skills (Adobe Creative Suite) and ability to learn (Knowledge of WordPress is a plus but not necessary).
Video Editing or Photography abilities a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Academic knowledge or practical experience in performing the essential functions listed below.
Flexibility and curiosity with assignments
Pride and initiative in one’s work
Creativity and attention to detail
Must reside in Florida during the internship’s duration

Open to Humanities majors only (Art, Art History, English, History, Philosophy, Religious Studies, Modern Languages, etc.)

Applicants must be currently enrolled as a student at FIU with a minimum of six (6) credits as an Undergraduate student or three (3) credits as a Graduate student during the Fall and Spring semesters.
During the Summer semesters, Students need only remain enrolled and are not required to take credit hours, but cannot have graduated.
Upon graduating, student employment must end.

Work Schedule

This is a one semester internship for Spring 2022.
20 hours a week (not to exceed 200 hours per semester)

Advertised Salary

$16.00 per hour
