**We are currently looking for interns for our Summer (June-Aug) session. Each intern can expect to work 24-32 hrs/week during the 12-week program. Hours can be flexible throughout the week**

This role can sit in our offices in either Chicago or Buffalo Grove, Illinois both of which include flexible and hybrid work options. This can also be a remote work opportunity.

Successful Interns of our Content Management and Design (CMDS) Team should have a passion for technology, collaboration, and creative problem solving. The CMDS Intern will actively contribute to meaningful projects and work closely with a mentor and with senior leadership.

The CMDS Internship is a 12-week program that requires 24-32 hours of work each week. Our program focuses on providing individuals with an opportunity to experience working in a corporate software development environment. CMDS Interns will gain exposure to a wide range of activities and experiences useful for future potential careers in information technology, computer systems, accounting and financial industries. Specific project work will vary depending upon the time of year and the most critical needs of Corptax at the time of the internship program.

Areas of focus:

Technology:

  • Software Coding

  • Writing, testing and publishing software code (using Microsoft Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, C#, Alteryx, etc.) based on guidance from subject matter experts.

  • Quality Assurance

  • Performing quality assurance testing on the tools and work necessary for Corptax's tax compliance software ensuring accurate results and updating software code as appropriate.

  • Microsoft Office Applications

  • Leveraging Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, SharePoint Online, Power Automate, Power BI, etc. to improve existing tools and processes

Professional:

  • Project Management

  • Managing assigned tasks and work items, communicating status and assisting with managing projects.

  • Customer Meetings

  • Participating in virtual meetings with Corptax customers gaining an understanding of how to conduct oneself in a vendor to customer relationship setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Personal Accountability

  • Ensuring appropriate level of professionalism and ability to handle multiple tasks required in order to get a project completed.

  • Teaming Responsibilities:

  • Working well with fellow interns and other teams within Corptax.

  • Focusing on the success of other interns in addition to the success of yourself

  • Being self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks.

  • Performing additional tasks as necessary.

Required Education and Experience

  • Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Management major or similar focus

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and other software packages (e.g. C#, .NET, JavaScript, HTML, Python, CSS, SQL, etc.).

  • Experience working on project(s) to successful completion.

  • Demonstrable initiative and drive for success.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work well in teams

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
