The Data Control Technician Internship will begin in June and end in December 2022.

What You’ll Do & Learn:

The Data Control Technician Intern will assist in day to day activities and function as a member of the IT Operations team. You’ll get to experience working with critical business systems in a corporate environment, while learning about enterprise workload automation/scheduling, enterprise monitoring and develop or further develop a number of IT related skills. In addition, you will be responsible for:

• Monitoring the health of applications and systems
• Monitoring the status of schedules, and corresponding batch jobs, for success and/or failure
• Researching job failures, resolving where possible, and creating work orders to track issues
• Researching, recommending and implementing process improvements where applicable
• Answering support calls and interacting with end users
• Participating on a team that provides 24x7 support for the company

What it Takes:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team with a major related to Computer Science, MIS or Information Technology. Ideally you will have strong communication skills and a solid analytical skill set with the ability to assess multiple situations simultaneously and take action accordingly. We are also looking for:

• At least Junior or Senior standing, recent graduates may be considered
• Cumulative GPA of 2.80 or higher
• Understanding and familiarity with computing systems
• Exceptional customer service skills and previous work experience in a customer service role
• Basic system administration skills with Window Server or Linux operating systems
• Basic understanding of scripting and knowledge of scripting languages.

This position offers the flexibility to work at our headquarters in Monroe, WI or from home (remotely). To take advantage of the remote work option, you must:

• Have reliable, high-speed internet and appropriate home office ergonomics
• Be able to travel to/work in Monroe, WI 2-4 days/month for team events, meetings, and trainings
• Maintain a residence in a State where we currently have other employees (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Wisconsin)
