Overview:
The Undersea Systems and Integration Group (USIG) provides Systems Engineering and Technical Program Management support to high priority DoD programs and projects within NAVSEA and the Navy’s Strategic Systems Programs by working in a team environment that relies on effective application of technical program experience, analysis, and engineering skills as well as strong communications and interpersonal skills. We support the development, acquisition and sustainment of Naval Special Warfare and undersea warfare systems by providing integrated solutions that address the full range of programmatic and technical challenges.
This internship is primarily in office work with occasional telework allowed.

We are seeking a smart, energetic, and dedicated student actively pursuing a four-year undergraduate degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or other related STEM degree to work alongside the SPA team supporting the Navy's Strategic Systems Programs Office (SSP) but could also involve interaction with prime contractors as well as other Navy program offices and organizations. Assist a team that provides support to a U.S. Navy weapon system program office charged with planning, assessment, management, and execution for all stages of the weapon system life cycle including system design and development, resource and requirements planning, production, and sustainment. Participate in team discussions and assist in gathering information and conducting analysis. Responsibilities also include program coordination and document/report development as well as meeting facilitation and briefing preparations.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field, preferably in Engineering or a degree related to Technology Development or Project Management.
- Must be proficient with MS Office and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrate forward thinking and proactive problem solving skills
- Successful candidates will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
