Marketing Communications Internship
HR Directions seeks a prospect for its client RTI International for the Marketing Communications Internship within the Social, Statistical and Environmental Sciences business unit.
Social, Statistical and Environmental Sciences (SSES) performs a wide range of research and technical services focused on important public policy issues in health, environment, education, criminal justice, and social welfare. Over 3,000 staff support more than 1,000 projects each year. We are passionate about Improving the Human Condition, and believe Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging must permeate all that we do. Our marketing team supports key accounts and priorities identified by the SSES leadership team. This role will support marketing efforts for our Department of Defense key account and our Climate key account.
The Marketing Communications Intern will assist with developing and producing marketing communications projects that build brand, demonstrate thought leadership, and help achieve organizational objectives. Under the supervision of the SSES Manager of Marketing and Communications team, the intern will play an integral role in implementing a variety of marketing projects.
Responsibilities
Assist in producing and executing marketing communications campaigns
Support integrated marketing efforts that may include digital asset creation, print collateral, channel communications, social media dissemination/engagement, hosted virtual and in-person events, email marketing, etc
Write social media content for Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram
Help build and maintain email subscriber lists, employing desk research to complete details in records
Support implementation of campaign tracking parameters and report metrics to inform campaign optimizations

Additional Information
This virtual paid internship will take place January 2022 - May 2022. The internship requires a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week. Hours are flexible during business hours, Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
U.S Citizen or permanent resident
Currently enrolled student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in a marketing, communications, business or social science field
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task
Preferred Qualifications
Resourceful with the ability to quickly grasp new concepts and ideas
Self-starter, able to think creatively and work independently
