Business and Administrative Intern - Service Quality and Containments (Summer 2022)

Internship Term: Summer 2022
Rivian internships are experiences optimized for student candidates. To be eligible, you must be an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited program during the internship term with an expected graduation date of December 2022 or May/June 2023.

Service Quality and Containment Team:
As a Rivian Service Quality and Containment Intern you will be responsible for improving the quality of Rivian products. You will be engaging with Quality, Field Service, Manufacturing, NHTSA and Service Engineering to identify quality concerns in the field or manufacturing. Working alongside a vast group of individuals, to solve complex problems while making sure Rivian’s high standard of quality requirements are met, will be a big portion of your responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Use warranty data to identify, escalate and resolve emerging product and service issues.
- Asist with root cause analysis of quality concerns.
- Ensure that engineering field action repair recommendations can be correctly and repeatedly performed by service technicians.
- Determine, track, and deliver key serviceability metrics through multiple product launches and continuous improvement through the vehicle lifecycle as part of the Rivian Way.
- Drive improvements into manufacturing to improve build quality.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a BS in Engineering, Automotive Technology or similar technical degree required
- Ability to manage multiple projects across varying geographic locations simultaneously
- Ability to manage multiple projects across varying geographic locations simultaneously
- Willingness to work in a strong cross functional environment
- Proven technical knowledge and ability to collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, Quality and suppliers
- Experience working in a manufacturing / production environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to explain complex problems to a vast audience.
