Marketing Operations Internship
HR Directions seeks a prospect for its client RTI International for the Marketing Communications Internship within the Social, Statistical and Environmental Sciences business unit.
Social, Statistical and Environmental Sciences (SSES) performs a wide range of research and technical services focused on important public policy issues in health, environment, education, criminal justice, and social welfare. Over 3,000 staff support more than 1,000 projects each year. Our marketing team supports key accounts and priorities identified by the SSES leadership team. This role will support marketing efforts for our Department of Defense key account and our Climate key account.
The Marketing Operations Intern will assist with process development and implementation. The final candidate will develop and produce marketing reports that will help bridge and optimize business development and marketing efforts across SSES. Under the supervision of the SSES Marketing Operations Associate, the intern will also play an integral role in maintaining and advancing the usage of current marketing systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist marketing operations in the development of standard reports and dashboards on business development and marketing activities
- Assist in developing system architectures, process maps, etc for marketing and business development
- Support marketing lead and database management processes, workflows, and operations
- Conduct desktop research (LinkedIn, Google, public websites) to help qualify, grade, and prioritize lead records in Pardot
- Support implementation of campaign tracking parameters and report metrics
- Assist in database management and quality for Pardot, Demandbase, and Salesforce
- Support creating and pulling reports from marketing operations platforms such as Salesforce, Demandbase, and Pardot
- Support efforts to educate and train on marketing system updates and enhancements

Additional Information
This virtual paid internship will take place January 2022 - May 2022. The internship requires a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week. Hours are flexible during business hours, Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
U.S Citizen or permanent resident
Currently enrolled student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in marketing, communications, business or social science field – preferably junior or senior applicants if pursuing an undergraduate degree
Previous marketing internship experience
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task
Preferred Qualifications
Resourceful with the ability to quickly grasp new concepts and ideas
Self-starter, able to think creatively and work independently
