Responsibilities
DreamWorks Animation TV seeks a Post Production Editorial Intern for the studio in Glendale, CA. Intern will gain an overview of how an episode moves through a TV post pipeline and the general responsibilities that go along with editing a series. Intern will be assigned to an Editor and Assistant Editor and gain hands-on experience taking episodes from an assembly cut to a final master on both a 2D and CG series, helping out on other series as needed. Intern will have the opportunity to attend and observe some edit sessions, including review sessions, picture locks and final watchdowns. This internship will be a great opportunity for those looking for a career in Animation Editing or to gain further insight into how an animated series moves through post.

Qualifications/Requirements
- Pursuing an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at a College/University (or equivalent), or be a recent graduate (within six months of graduation date)
- Ability to commit 12 weeks to the internship and work remotely
- Ability to work part time (16 hours/week) from January 2021 - April 2022
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Desired Characteristics
- Film/TV, Animation, Media Studies or related majors preferred.
- Working knowledge of Non-Linear editing systems such as; Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere, Resolve, FCPX is a plus.
- Candidates should have excellent problem solving skills, and an ability to creatively overcome the daily roadblocks of the TV editorial process.
- Well organized, highly self-motivated individuals capable of multi-tasking, who function well in fast-paced post-production based environments.
- Those applying must be confident and proactive with excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal) and feel comfortable interacting with employees at all levels of the organization.
