Our Marketing Team is seeking an intern to join their team.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direct supervision of the Marketing Director, the Marketing Intern will learn and understand the basic principles of our core business lines by assisting with routine marketing operations and social media outreach for upcoming campaigns, events, and projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Source ideas, write, edit, and/or coordinate content for social media and blog posts.
  • Schedule posts on the social media calendar.
  • Learn basic functionality of Adobe Illustrator.
  • Support design projects and deliverables in Adobe Illustrator and Piktochart.
  • Coordinate with teammates and members of leadership on social media content approval.
  • Other duties as assigned.

COMPETENCIES AND GENERAL SKILLS:

  • Applied understanding of basic marketing principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently.
  • Comfortable with multitasking in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of SEO techniques and best practices.
  • Basic photography, image and video editing, and graphic design skills.

BUSINESS PARTNERING AND REPORTING:

  • Reports directly to the Marketing Director.
  • Partners with multiple business units throughout the organization as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
  • Previous experience with the use of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator) and social media management tools a plus.
  • Polished interpersonal skills and strong professionalism.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have excellent written communication skills.
  • Must have strong computer skills including MS Office.
