As a Junior UI Developer with Octo, you will join an Agile team responsible for leading modernizing, iteratively developing on, and maintaining operations for a suite of highly visible applications for an innovative federal government agency. You are a software engineer that is comfortable working side by side with other engineers, product managers, designers, and clients, making decisions together to quickly deliver valuable working software to clients and their users. You have a passion for high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code. Program Mission...

This program will support the agency’s Information Technology mission to provide development and operational support of new and existing legacy mission-enabling applications. The team will work to modernize current applications by breaking them down into loosely coupled micro-services and leveraging a continuous integration / continuous delivery pipeline to enable an agile DevOps Strategy.

Requirements…

• Experience with AngularJS and Angular 9+
• Experience with Typescript, USWDS, and JavaScript
• Familiarity with Angular Security Advisory
• Familiarity with Bootstrap

Desired Skills...

• Experience with Drupal 7/8/9 is a plus
• Angular 11 experience is a plus
• Strong UI/UX skills
• Strong working knowledge of LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
• Working experience with CI/CD pipelines; including technologies such as Docker, Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory, and others
• Working knowledge of best practices around branching strategies, versioning techniques and other DevOps practices
• Working knowledge of management/tracking utilities such as JIRA/Confluence
• Experience working in a DevOps environment
