Job Description

In today's highly competitive financial environment, the financial services industry is faced with significant challenges in the regulatory and legal landscape. To assist our clients with overcoming these challenges, Broadridge offers a comprehensive class action asset recovery solution that helps clients navigate the complexities currently found in the global class action arena.

As a legal intern you will quickly become an integral member of Broadridge’s Global Class Action team comprised of business leaders, industry veterans, and licensed attorneys. While being personally mentored, you will be called on to conduct original research and writing on current and historical issues facing the global class actions industry. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to engage with our related sales, marketing, and operations divisions exposing you to the inner workings of a thriving S&P 500 Fintech company.

Broadridge is currently seeking sharp, business-minded first year (1L) law student interns with strong research and writing skills and an interest in class actions to join our Long Island, New York office for a 10-week summer internship starting in June 2022. The internship will provide you with an in-depth understanding of the organization through mentored work experience and training seminars.

Our objective is to equip you with a hands-on work experience while providing the core values and skills necessary for a successful career. During your internship, you will professionally network and build strong relationships that will be beneficial towards a lucrative future. The mentorship you will receive from a highly engaged management team will provide you with the industry knowledge and support necessary to be successful.

This internship will give you the opportunity to explore Broadridge as a potential employer and provide you with the exciting opportunity to learn more about the global class actions industry.

Our program has five main components:

  • Organizational Learning Opportunities: Day-to-day work that aligns within the function of the business unit
  • Management Learning Opportunities: Group Learning Discussions, Leadership Development Trainings, Professional Mentorship Relationships, Small Group Projects
  • Professional Social Networking: Informal Networking Events for Interns
  • Industry Knowledge Development: Financial Industry Events, Broadridge 101 Training, Operations Facility Tours
  • Broadridge Presentation: Frequent collaboration towards a Broadridge presentation given to senior leaders of Broadridge at the end of the program.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as a first year (1L) in a JD program at an ABA-accredited law school
  • Excellent academic performance
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Interest in learning about global securities class actions and the financial tech industry
