Software Engineer Intern, Applications - Summer 2022

Areas of focus may be in one or more of the following areas:

  • Sets & Layout
  • Characters & Crowds
  • Simulation
  • Animation
  • Shading
  • Effects
  • Lighting, Rendering & Compositing

Qualifications:

  • Experience in C++ engineering
  • Attention to detail and code quality
  • Experience with UNIX/Linux, 3D graphics interaction techniques, and 3D applications (Katana, Maya, Houdini, Renderman, etc.)
  • Experience with rendering processes a plus

Eligibility:

  • You are at least a junior in college working towards a BS, MS or PhD; if you have already graduated but are within the first year since your graduation at the start of the internship, you are also eligible to apply
  • Submit a short personal statement (200 words or less) explaining your interest in look development software at Pixar.
  • You are available to work full-time for 12 consecutive weeks between May – Sept
  • Please Note: this opportunity may be a remote internship rather than onsite at Pixar. A determination will be made Spring 2022.
