With the launch of our high-performance Bantam Tools Desktop CNC Milling Machine we’re now ready to expand our team and support our customers on a larger scale. We’re hiring a thoughtful, creative, and organized Jr. Content Writer to join our creative marketing team. This is an entry-level position and through your work with Bantam Tools you will sharpen and expand your writing skills. You’ll be responsible for writing technical guides and managing our social media channels.

To hit the ground running, you’ll need strong writing, editing, and interpersonal skills, as well as a sense of humor, empathy, accountability, and willingness to learn. Through this position you’ll gain an enormous amount of hands-on experience and you’ll work alongside a diverse and welcoming team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Write and maintain technical support guides and project guides

• Write engaging copy for social media channels (e.g. Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Pinterest)

• Engage with our community on Bantam Tools’ social platforms to nurture current relationships and develop new ones

• Research and recruit candidates for the Bantam Tools Remote Residency Program

• Monitor growth and health on our social media

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• BA in English, Creative Writing, Communications, or equivalent

• Strong written and verbal communicator

• Organized and able to meet deadlines

• Developmental editing skills

• Able to listen to feedback and implement changes based on feedback

• Familiar with APA and Chicago Style Guides

• Accountable

• Self-starter

BONUS SKILLS

• Prior internship experience writing for blogs, brands, etc.

• Prior internship experience managing social media accounts.

• Copyediting skills

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This is a full-time position located in Peekskill, NY. Compensation is competitive, commensurate with experience, and includes benefits and accrued paid time off.
