The Professional Services (PS) Intern will work with and support VMware Professional Services team in the Americas to help analyze the Americas PS business, looking for opportunities for improvement. The role requires a strong data analytics and process engineering type of person who is can of work independently with a large, cross-functional team. Strong communications skills in a must, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to the management team.

Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

During your internship:

• PS Interns will work with our Professional Services team members and other internal teams and gain exposure to real life work process and methods
• Gain key insight to the inner workings of a large Consultative organization on how we support and help our customers move forward in their intended journeys
• Assist the PS organization with optimization of processes and gain hands-on experience in process improvement, trending and tracking key business metrics, as well as other tasks to help improve the PS organization

The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

Our PS Interns can expect the following work assignments:

• Data analysis - looking for trends, patterns and insights
• Present findings to leadership
• Support of Americas PS Business as well as other tasks with PS as needed

The hiring manager for this role is the Sr. Manager of Volume Services, within Americas PMO. A veteran of VMware for 10 years, he is passionate about driving a culture of inspiration, collaboration and both personal and professional development. Diversity in all aspects along with the VMware EPIC2 values drive the culture of the team. The Volume Services team is based out of the Atlanta, Georgia office and our Costa Rican office in Heredia, with some team members located across the United States.

Where is this role located?

This role can be 100% remote or based out of our Atlanta, Georgia office, with work done from an office some days during a week and other days from a non-VMware building or working from home.
