Job Description:

Parsons Cloud Services Team is now accepting applications from Engineering and Computer Science Students for a new summer internship program. Students who are interested in learning cloud DevOps concepts, working with cloud environments such as AWS/Azure, Kubernetes/Container Orchestration, and Software Development are encouraged to apply. Leverage your current classroom experience with real-world, hands-on experience, developing Cloud Native Applications, migrating existing software applications to the cloud, software development, container development and container orchestration.

Interested students should be self-starters who are currently enrolled in an accredited 4-year Engineering or Computer Science institution

In this role, under direction from senior engineers, you will perform a variety of basic to moderately difficult engineering support assignments, often as a member of a team. These assignments will require a fundamental understanding of software development, cloud technologies, scripting, and information systems. Parsons’ extensive experience in this field, combined with your willingness to work hard, will propel your career and opportunities moving forward. We expect our interns to be enthusiastic, on-item, flexible, and enjoy working in collaborative working environments. Interns should expect to work in an iterative environment where initial failure is expected, and independent testing/research is required to deliver an optimal solution. Location: Remote work available, working with teams in the Denver Tech Center

Qualifications:

• US Citizen able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret level US Government security clearance
• Enrolled in an engineering or computer science curriculum at an accredited 4-year college or university and completed one year of study.
• Understanding of POSIX operating systems
• Basic understanding of Cloud Computing Technologies (AWS/Azure)
• Basic understanding of Container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes/Podman/OCI)
• Basic understanding of software engineering including application build and deployment concepts
• Experience in one of: Python, JavaScript, Bash scripting, Groovy, Angular
• Understanding of Agile and DevOps software practices

The anticipated annualized full time target compensation (median) for this position is: $56,160.00.
