What you’ll do
The Early Career team within SAS Talent Acquisition is a dedicated and passionate group that is responsible for identifying, selecting, and creating experiences for the next generation of talent for SAS. The Early Career team impacts students’ lives by giving them a rewarding career opportunity at one of the world’s best workplaces.

SAS has an award-winning intern program that supports co-ops and part-time interns during the academic year, and full-time interns during the summer for a 12-week program. We view interns as the pipeline of future talent for the organization, so it’s essential that we are hiring the most qualified and diverse students and providing an experience that makes them want to build their career with SAS.

We are seeking a US Intern Program Manager to execute a best-in-class internship and co-op experience, providing support to 200+ interns and co-ops per year. This includes how we pay, develop, support, and recruit our student talent. The location of this role is preferred in our Cary, NC Headquarters location, but there is flexibility for remote work for the right candidate.

You will:
  • Implement creative onboarding experiences to ensure interns and co-ops feel welcomed and prepared for their SAS experience.
  • Plan and execute programming and events to help interns learn about SAS, build a community, and develop professionally.
  • Enable and support management so they can properly lead interns and provide them with a best-in-class experience.
  • Work cross-functionally with all levels of management to include HR teams and business leaders to create and execute an effective program.
  • Be an advocate for the interns’ and co-ops’ careers by facilitating focus groups, feedback sessions and career coaching conversations.
  • Partner with compensation team to drive a competitive compensation strategy for interns and co-ops.
  • Facilitate the intern conversion process by keeping a pulse on intern graduation dates and extending offers to those eligible for full-time opportunities.
  • Serve as point of contact to interns, HR, and the business on all internship-related questions and concerns.
  • Develop and measure program performance metrics and analyze ROI to make improvements.
  • Manage full life cycle recruiting for internship and co-op roles, as needed.

What we’re looking for
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ work experience
  • Event planning experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, to include public speaking skills
  • Large-scale project and/or program management experience
  • You’re curious, passionate, authentic and accountable. These are our values and influence everything we do

The nice to haves
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, and working alongside students
  • Experience working in Talent Acquisition or Human Resources, ideally within an Early Talent or University Recruiting function
  • Experience gathering and assessing data to drive decisions
  • Strong business case building and presentation skills
  • Experience using an online applicant tracking system, iCIMS preferred
  • An interest in technology, specifically in big data analytics
  • Cary, NC location highly preferred, but flexible for remote work for the right candidate.
