Job Description:

Please note that our internships run in perpetuity throughout a student’s degree program, therefore you must live within commuting distance to our Provo office year-round. (Currently, the position is remote due to the pandemic, but that may change.) The hours vary depending on school schedule and are full time when classes are not in session. You must be enrolled in a degree program to be eligible for a Micro Focus internship.

This is a Software QA Engineering internship in the Identity and Access Management Engineering product group. This is a great opportunity for the individual looking to get involved with cutting edge technology in the Cloud Computing, Identity, and Access business. The primary responsibilities will be assisting team members in configuring, testing, aand automating our software products.

Responsibilities:

• Execute manual and automated test cases
• Convert manual tests to automated tests
• Write automated tests (unit, component, integration)
• Evaluate the quality of an individual product component
• Setup and configure your product in a lab using VMware, Rancher, Kubernetes, etc.
• Setup and maintain automation environments.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Be enrolled in a college or university working towards a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
• Have basic programming skills in Java and scripting languages
• Have basic knowledge of Linux and Windows administration
• Possess PC architecture knowledge and troubleshooting experience
• Be familiar with networking equipment including switches, routers, cabling, etc.
• Be able to quickly learn new technologies
• Work reliably both independently and as an agile team member
• Be able to take direction and complete assigned tasks
• Prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
• Possess a high level of initiative and self-motivation

• Full and part time intern position depending on school schedule.
