Jr. Financial Analyst
Chronicle Books seeks a Junior Financial Analyst to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for sales reporting, inventory projections, and financial analysis; this will include forecasting inventory needs and providing detailed analysis of key account retail sales performance. You will also work with Distribution, Finance, and Operations staff to develop or refine project-related analysis. The role also delivers recommendations, solutions, strategies, and actions based on the analysis work.
You will provide an understanding of data warehouses and business systems, prepare reports that identify trends, analyze title profitability, help prepare monthly forecasts, and maintain customer POS sales reporting. You will also offer assistance preparing annual budgets, developing new reports to facilitate business objectives, and assisting Client Services with special projects.
You should have one to two years in Finance (or a related area of work), proficiency in using and developing financial models or financial software, strong analytical skills, and a keen ability to identify problems and develop solutions. Previous product planning, inventory management, and/or experience in book publishing is a plus.
