POSITION SUMMARY

Pearce is looking for a Content Marketing Intern to join our growing team. You will gain exposure to the telecom and renewables industry, operational functions of a growing company, and much more. In this role, you will be able to apply your knowledge of social and digital marketing, analytics, customer, and marketing adoption to grow Pearce Service’s brand awareness. The ideal candidate brings data and insight, thinks creatively, is naturally innovative, highly collaborative, and has a passion for aligning marketing efforts to increase customer success.

This is a paid internship during which you will be expected to provide 20 hours per week.

We are open to you working remotely yet prioritizing applicants in San Luis Obispo County.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working with the Marketing Manager, this role will assist in developing content calendars and executing social media / content creation (LinkedIn, Facebook Business) including campaign story planning
  • Conduct discovery, research, and interview around internal and external topics, projects, and programs
  • Contribute ideas to content marketing rollouts
  • Fact-checking and ad hoc data analytics projects
  • Write copy as required
  • Support specialists in the execution of campaigns end-to-end
  • Complete various activities to improve marketing performance
  • Availability to work 20 hours per week

QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS

  • 1+ years hands-on brand marketing and content development experience with digital and social platforms including Email, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
  • Pursuing a degree in business, marketing, or a similar field (preferred)
  • Able to communicate effectively with a diverse internal and external audience
  • Strong Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook skills are a must
  • Creative thinker with high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Project management and ability to drive work forward independently
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentational communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and successfully build collaborative relationships
  • Ability to adapt and balance deadlines amid shifting priorities
  • Self-starter with a passion for learning and who is not afraid to ask questions
  • Be willing and able to work all scheduled hours which may include evenings and weekends
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to use metrics to quantify success
