eCornell's Department of Individual Student Enrollment is looking for Enrollment Representative Interns to join their team! An Enrollment Representative Intern works with leadership and fellow team members to master all the key basics of the new student qualification/enrollment process and ensures achievement of all performance objectives. This is a metrics-driven position.

What you will do:

  • Master the basics of the IMPACT sales process using it to establish relationships and guide potential students.

  • Master all of the basics of our systems including but not limited to: Salesforce, Destiny, TextUs, Calendly, Drift, Facebook and LinkedIn.

  • Utilize the guidelines provided to gain an understanding and implement best practices around leading and lagging indicators regardless of the method of communication tool used.

  • IMPACT Score - 80 or above according to established rubric

  • Learn the Opportunity Guidelines and consistently follow these guidelines

  • Ensure all potential student information is accurately entered into Salesforce in a timely manner.

  • Develop a comfort level and excellent degree of service in communicating with prospective students in a variety of different ways. This may include (but is not limited to): calling potential students via phone, corresponding via email, participating in info sessions, responding to students on Facebook or LinkedIn, or working with students on our chat platform.

  • Partner with other departments as necessary to finalize the enrollment process for our students, including the Accounting, Student Services and Help-desk teams.

What we need:

  • High school diploma, matriculated college student, and up to 1 year of enrollment, sales, admissions or related experience.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • Detail-oriented and organized.

  • Focused on achieving optimum levels of service while maintaining high ethical standards.

  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to potential and newly enrolling students by using our IMPACT sales process.

  • Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Ability to utilize and leverage technology and systems.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

This is a fast-paced position with a variety of responsibilities. These responsibilities will be different each day depending on the needs of the team. It’s a great opportunity to maximize many different skill sets and be able to interact with a variety of different individuals throughout the day.

Please note:

  • This role will require you to have your own computer (preferably a Mac) with a strong connection to the internet. The tools required to do this job are all web based and will be provided upon hire.

  • This is a casual fixed-term, non-benefits eligible position, with 15 hours of scheduled work per week on average.

  • There is no visa sponsorship or relocation assistance available for this position.
