About our group:

Development team in Enterprise Data Storage chartered with delivering applications and services to provide a cohesive management and data experience across Seagate’s consumer to enterprise devices.

About the role - you will:

Join an exciting team that’s crafting an entirely new cloud-native software stack to facilitate data mobility and management across Seagate devices from the edge to the cloud.
In this role you’ll have an opportunity to work with architects and senior engineering leads on developing a wide range of software: from embedded device agents to cloud-native services and end-user management.


Specific responsibilities include:
  • Designing and building RESTful APIs in Node.js using a micro services architecture
  • Creating beautiful and responsive User Interfaces using modern front end technologies
  • Interface with NoSQL database layer for persisting application data
  • Ensuring performant, low-latency APIs and database queries
  • Creating tools to develop cloud-native software and monitor production cloud services
  • Communicating regularly with team regarding project status and deliverables
  • Collaborating and interacting with developers from across Seagate’s enterprise and consumer product lines
  • Interact with product management and test organizations to scope solution requirements and software features to align with the delivery roadmap

Your experience includes:

  • Solid Python and/or Javascript programming skills
  • Experience with REST APIs and Web User Interfaces
  • Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS, Vue.js, React, or Ember. Expertise in Vue.js is desired.
  • Familiarity with server side languages such as Python, PHP, or Java. Expertise in Node.js/Javascript is desired.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL database technologies, expertise with MongoDB is desired
  • Familiarity with applying Agile development methodologies to software delivery
  • 2+ years into a bachelor's degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering, Computer Science Engineering or a related area

Interns typically work Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. The hours are subject to change with or without notice at the sole discretion of Seagate.

Colorado's 2021 Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) requires we inform you of the estimated base salary range for this position: $22-$33.50. Actual range is based on fair market value of the role in the geography in which you live based on the requirements of the job and your skills. This posted salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate, and Seagate reserves the right to adjust this range depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
