We’re hiring a Design Intern

At Walz Tetrick Advertising, we create meaningful connections to evolve brands. We call that Evolutionary Marketing. We’re pretty great at it. And we’re looking for a talented design intern to join our creative team.

What You Can Expect

Are you ready to ignite your career, learn the agency business, serve clients and develop your marketing and advertising skills? As a paid intern, you’ll:

• Assist with agency and client creative design projects
• Participate in internal meetings and agency events
• Attend team meetings
• Coordinate client and internal tasks and materials
• Participate in brainstorms
• Have fun and learn a lot!

What We Expect of You

Do you have what it takes to carry the torch of a marketing evolutionary? You must be endlessly curious, tenacious and inspired by the unexpected. Candidates should also be eager to learn, able to multitask and willing to go above and beyond to create dramatic change in the way we create strategies, reach customers, stimulate relationships and measure results.

Requirements:

• Current undergraduate seniors or recent graduates
• Must be able to work 9:00-5:00 Monday-Friday (some flexibility – and remote options
• Internship period is Jan. 10 – March 31, 2022 (flexible)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Basic understanding of traditional, digital and social media
• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to work on a variety of projects
• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines
• Exceptional work ethic, proactive, detail-oriented with strong interpersonal skills

Design Intern Summary

The ideal design intern will be detail-oriented, good at managing time and able to work quickly at a high level. Candidates must be go-getters who will not get frazzled by the need to switch gears on a moment’s notice. We are looking for someone who is both creative and technically skilled. The person we hire should thrive in a collaborative, team environment but also be willing to take initiative when any task is thrown their way. Creative applicants will have experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator). Candidate should be eager to learn.

Design Intern Responsibilities

• Use Adobe Creative Suite to create and design in a wide variety of media; assist other designers as needed
• Select, retouch and manipulate images
• Help brainstorm creative concepts that fit the strategy in the creative brief
• Work closely with art directors and copywriters
• Assist in creating presentations
