Junior Software Developer (Application Support Specialist) Overview:
You will have the responsibility for building, testing, and maintaining scalable and stable off the shelf applications and custom-built technology solutions to meet business needs. This role will combine IT experience with emerging and existing technologies, implement approved development and work directly with the business to determine requirements.

Classification: Full-time, Exempt
Junior Software Developer (Application Support Specialist) Working Location: Minneapolis, MN (desired) or remote eligible throughout the United States (not available in Alaska and Hawaii)

What would your day look like as a Junior Software Developer (Application Support Specialist)?

• Thoroughly reviewing, analyzing, and documenting details regarding IT processes and offer valuable recommendations to improve processes and efficiency
• Engaging in development activities including implementing and testing solutions for internal process improvements and client-requested enhancements or changes
• Creating client and/or business facing support documentation detailing existing and future state solutions
• Conducting root cause analysis and advanced performance tuning
• Working with vendors, development partners, and internal development team in support of development activities
• Supporting applicable change management processes for all requested development projects
• Presenting technical options while evaluating cost, resources, and estimated timelines

The qualifications we are looking for in someone include:

• Ability to be a self-starter and work autonomously, as well as be part of a successful team
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to partner with business resources to determine high level requirements and translate into new development solutions that solve client requests or internal process improvement initiatives
• Ability to apply technical knowledge with respect to business processes and technology systems as part of discovery and requirements gathering
• Willingness to utilize and expand technical expertise
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in applications support or development
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent experience
• Experience with data structures and reporting, including PowerBI and SSIS/SSRS
• Experience with software deployment/code repository technologies, including GitHub and Azure Visual Studio preferred
• Development capabilities in a combination of technical languages, including SQL, JavaScript, .Net, and Vue. Go lang experience is beneficial
