The Cincinnati Insurance Companies' Information Technology department is currently looking for students who seek to gain a meaningful work experience with us for Summer 2022. IT Interns will assist with maintaining and supporting applications for the corporate portal as part of our infrastructure, security, desktop support, auditing, and business analyst teams.

Roles may include: Developer, IT Audit, Analyst, IT Operations, Dev Ops Engineer, etc.

Starting Rate of Pay: $18.00/hr+ based on previous education and experience

Learn more about our company and develop your professional skills by:
• participating in an introductory insurance class
  • learning about various business departments and IT service areas
  • signing up for optional learning development tracks
  • interacting with associates and management
  • participating in group and individual research projects as assigned
  • This is a full time internship/co-op. If you will be continuing the internship/co-op into the semester following your full-time internship/co-op, there may be a part time option available depending on the role.

**Internship/Co-op work location: Remote available for non-location critical roles. Location critical roles must have a presence on-site.

Be equipped with:
  • knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, VBScript, and object-oriented programming concepts and languages
  • knowledge of databases, simple data analysis, and reporting
  • knowledge of computer hardware, imaging, software installation including applications such as Microsoft Office 365 Suite
  • understanding of computer networks (TCP/IP protocol, load balancing, monitoring, etc.), Linux/Windows server platform, virtualization, cloud computing concepts
  • prior experience in customer-facing service work through volunteering, employment, and/or extracurricular activities
  • ability to research, and understand and author technical documentation, and to utilize available resources to resolve technical problems
  • good communication skills with the ability to effectively explain technical concepts to non-technical audience
  • ability to interact effectively with management and colleagues to prioritize and organize work
  • willingness to continually learn new technologies, skills, and improved processes
  • awareness of current and emerging technology trends
  • reliable and service-oriented mindset
You are:
  • full-time undergraduate student currently enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university
  • returning to school full-time in the semester after internship
  • able to furnish collegiate transcripts with initial submission of candidate profile
  • in good academic standing (cumulative GPA: 3.0 or higher preferred)
  • able to communicate effectively at all levels
  • service-minded, team-oriented, driven, and passionate about information technology
  • proficient in Microsoft® Office software and tools
