The HEDIS Coordinator - Pursuit Special Teams Intern will be responsible for coordinating and completing HEDIS Quality Department specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals.
100% remote opportunity
Primary responsibilities include supporting:
- Serves as a consultant, educator, and policy changer in the use of HEDIS data and the quality improvement process
- Coordinates annual HEDIS medical record collection and/or abstraction process
- Analyzes plan/market results.
- Assists in the development of training materials, templates, processes, and procedures related to the project.
- Serves as resource and liaison for multiple associates to complete assignments.
- Collaborates with teams regarding workflow process improvement, document management, and abstraction education.
Functions OR examples of projects for this role:
- Creating comprehensive status reports
- Using SWAT method to identify and implement improvement strategies
- Reviewing and updating project workflows/job aids
Qualifications
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, Human Resources Management, or other related degrees
- Must be enrolled fulltime at an accredited college or university during internship
- This internship is from June to August and is 40 hours per week
- Students must be authorized to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare, Public Health educational background
- Minimum of 1-year experience with HEDIS activity coordination
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications
- Associates or BA/BS preferred
- RN, RHIA, or RHIT license preferred
- NCQA experience preferred
- Experience in aspects of process development and execution
- Experience with Managed/Acute/Provider Care environment preferred.
