Intern - Business Development & DAV-C - Business Undergraduate Summer
What Your Job Will Be Like
We are seeking Summer - Business Undergraduate Interns to join our dynamic team! Individuals must be able to work under direction to assist business development staff. Our business development staff help the technical line organizations understand and apply business concepts for the purpose of meeting Sandia’s goals for partnerships and program development.
On any given day, duties may include:
- Supporting business development staff to execute stakeholder and partnership strategies for national security programs and technologies (DoD, NNSA, DOE and others)
- Conducting market research, and gathering and analyzing information
- Assisting with marketing plans and strategy development
- Developing materials for outreach, marketing and branding (including websites and other web-based environments)
- Supporting business development staff in executing partner and stakeholder interactions, such as workshops and site visits.

Qualifications We Require
You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:
- Currently attending and enrolled full time (or scheduled to graduate in the spring) in a related accredited undergraduate program
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0
- Ability to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer
- U.S. citizenship

- Demonstrated ability to work in cross-discipline teams and individually towards a stated goal
- Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
- Knowledge of or experience with marketing
- Experience conducting research and analysis
- Passion and interest in science and technology
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
- Ability to display information visually (graphic design and web development experience)
About Our Team
The Business Development (BD) & Data Analysis, Visualization and Communications (DAV-C) Departments (1981,1984, and 1985) are responsible for business development support to Sandia's program management centers and program portfolios. BD brings together technical and program development related functions to ensure mission success. Staff members assist in strategy development, discovery of sponsor/customer requirements, technology road mapping, stakeholder/partner engagement, and communicating Sandia’s unique capabilities relative to national security needs. The department also provides data analysis and visual communications to support leadership decision making, streamline business processes, enhance technology usability, and facilitate internal and external collaborations.

Security Clearance
Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications.
