The Data Analyst II will become an integral member of the Assurance team focused on continuous improvement of our data. To succeed in this position, the Data Analyst II will be responsible for ingesting, cleaning, mining, and transforming data. They also build and validate metrics, monitor data quality, analyze various forms of data (e.g., raw data, base data, 3rd party data, metrics), provide reports and interpret results. This position must be able to communicate equally well with business owners and senior management. Excellent analytical skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to participate in a team environment are keys to this position.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Provide data summaries, dashboards, trends, and patterns by using data visualization tools (i.e., Tableau) and reporting tools
  • Handle data preparation and data analysis portions of various projects
  • Ability to use creativity to spot trends and tease out patterns in large datasets
  • Develop, manage, and maintain code using statistical software packages like SQL, SAS and Python/R
  • Mine and interpret data, monitor, and analyze key metrics and interpret performance and provide insight into the data and metrics generated
  • Ensure accuracy of results produced as a result of data analysis
  • Work with and collaborate with the business owners to obtain insights and execute requests
  • Other duties as needed or required

Compensation:

  • Hourly pay rate is $25.00 - 30.00/hour. The hourly rate may vary outside of the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidates experience.
  • Position is eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Qualifications:

  • Business, economics, mathematics or engineering or related major involving data analysis
  • Understanding of data science and essential statistics
  • Experience database query tools (SQL) and/or programming language (Python/R)
  • Experience utilizing data and conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Experience building dashboards through Tableau and other visualization tools is a plus
  • Power user of the MS Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint, for doing business analysis
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and hunger to learn new technical and soft skills
