Product Development Research Assistant Intern
$15 - $22 an hour
Overview
As the Product Development Research Assistant Intern of KraveBeauty, you will be adding value by supporting the department’s needs. You will assist in the research and development of the product development process. In doing so, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the company’s overarching operations that directly affect bottom-line business outcomes critical in supporting the sustainable growth of the company.
Your Role at KraveBeauty
- Continuous research on SPF global regulations – biweekly report
- Research and compile best practices for sustainability of ingredients, formulations, and manufacturing processes throughout the development process by working with vendors & staying up-to-date on green
- Research raw materials and collaborate with raw material suppliers to source ingredients and innovations. Digitally organize samples and MSDS sheets
- Research and evaluate new and best-selling competitive products for aesthetics, claims, product positioning, application, and innovation
- Assist in conducting product testing with labs and keep track of progress and results, including formula stability & safety testing, and technical testing for certifications
- Support with the development and validation of new product formulas or formula improvements
- Support CX and marketing needs with product information and specs

Technical but Important Stuff
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry and/or Public Health and Policy and has an interest in green chemistry and sustainability preferred
- Prior internship or research experience preferred
- Proficient in project management tools such as Trello and Monday.com
- Project scheduling
- Global regulations in the cosmetic industry
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Good knowledge of the skincare/beauty industry appreciated
Employment
- Terms of employment: Contract starting ASAP
- Hours of commitment: 25-30 hrs/week but negotiable
- Location: Remote, but required to work EST working hours. Must be able to work in the USA
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
