Basic Purpose


To gain valuable insight into Navy Federal’s business, technology, resources and procedures by providing support in focused areas, applying knowledge and education. In Digital Engineering candidates will have the opportunity to gain exposure to teams developing our banking platforms using cutting edge technology. Our summer interns will have a chance to support our Mobile application (android), Conversational banking, and our Universal Membership Application. During time with Navy Federal, interns will have an opportunity to assist with research and analysis on new features, collaborate with other developers and stakeholders, support teams in concocting solutions, and lend a hand in building next gen employee experiences to help support our 11 million members.

** To qualify for the Summer Internship Program, applicants must be currently pursuing an associates, undergraduate, or graduate degree from an accredited college or university and have an anticipated graduation date of August 2022 or later. **

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to assigned department; may work on small projects or portions of larger projects
  • Support business strategy and initiatives within the business unit and/or across the organization
  • Assist and collaborate with various levels of staff to accomplish tasks/assignments
  • Perform research and analysis; may include quantitative and/or qualitative analysis
  • Maintain professionalism in all interactions, placing member service as priority
  • Provide comprehensive day-to-day operational support
  • Provide support in functional areas of the credit union
  • May provide direct member service in high volume situations
  • Process and update data in automated systems; may generate and analyze reports
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Must be pursuing a degree from an accredited college/university
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Effective research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective skill maintaining accuracy with attention to detail and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to exercise initiative and good judgment to make sound decisions
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies

Address: Remote

  • Due to COVID-19 and social distancing, this position will be temporarily working from home with plans to return to campus at the desired location listed once Navy Federal is back to normal operations. The specific logistics for returning to campus will be determined at a future date by individual leadership. All interns will be expected to report to campus once we resume campus operations.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours/week.
