Internship Summary:
Interns will have the opportunity to learn about the history, culture and vision of Orlando City SC, understanding the importance of how a professional sports organization works (which could include sales, marketing, public relations, operations, or the internal working of the Club), to further develop general critical thinking, problem solving, time management, communication, and writing skills.
Position Summary: Orlando City SC is looking for a motivated intern for our ticket sales department. The intern will learn all aspects of ticket sales, member services and ticket operations & analytics activities of a professional soccer club. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to supplement classroom instruction and gain practical experience in servicing our season ticket members and learn the selling process. Concluding this internship, this person will have learned various aspects of the sales/service process, gameday operations and fulfillment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Learn the Club’s service philosophy and assist with customer relationships via phone, email and face-to-face
- Learn all aspects of the Orlando City SC ticketing system (Archtics) and CRM platform (Salesforce) and how to maintain sales records and documentation.
- Assist with ticket order fulfillment and packaging.
- Learn the financial aspect of ticket sales invoicing and receivables.
- Learn to review, evaluate, and provide insights of survey results data.
- Observe, learn, and apply the Orlando City SC sales process during sales calls.
- Learn all aspect of gameday responsibilities including servicing season ticket member request, problem solving, and assisting with ticket issues in the office and outside of gates.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Intern must be available from January 2022 to May 2022 (weekly hours negotiable).
- Applicants should be working towards a Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent.
- Candidates must be able to receive academic credit for this internship.
- Be present for most Orlando City games and special events as needed, assisting with gameday operations
- Able non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings, within a team atmosphere. Various weekends may be required.
- Able to always represent the Club with a professional and approachable attitude.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong conflict resolution skills
- Ability to handle stressful customer service situations
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds

This internship is intended to be an in-person learning opportunity. Due to COVID 19, policies and procedures related to non-full-time employees working at our office at Exploria Stadium may dictate that the role becomes a telework opportunity.
