To support our growing Microsoft Dynamics Practice, XTIVIA is looking for a passionate developer who is willing to and able to become a great Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central (BC) engineer, one who can step into multi-client projects with an ability to perform in a fast-paced environment. This position is a critical part of XTIVIA's growth - you will be integrally involved in numerous projects. Qualified candidates for this position must have at least two years’ development experience and be willing and able to learn how to develop in Dynamics NAV/Dynamics BC. As the ideal candidate, you will have great communication skills and be able to travel to client locations to assist with requirements gathering. You also need to be able to multi-task because you could be working on multiple projects at the same time. You work best independently, while providing updates to the project manager and collaborating with your colleagues as needed. Additionally, your expertise includes the ability to take abstract requirements from staff (typically accountants) and design a solution that works within the larger Business Central and GovCon framework and accounting principles.

As XTIVIA’s Dynamics NAV/BC Developer, you will:

• Conduct requirements gathering meetings
• Interface with consultants and client accounting team to design a solution
• Conduct JAD sessions with the customer
• Conduct training classes for clients wanting to learn how to develop in AL
• Provide estimates for change orders
• Code, debug, test, deploy and manage versioning of each customer's changes.
• Familiarize yourself (learn) with the GovCon IP. This is critical to design a solution.
• Assist in maintaining and enhancing the GovCon IP

As the best-matched candidate, you will have the following required skills:

• Bachelors or associate's degree in computer science.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in development.
• Must have either Dynamics NAV/BC development experience or must have JavaScript or Python or C# programming experience.
• Must have experience in Web Development and REST/GraphQL APIs
• Must have experience writing relational database queries; SQL server knowledge is a plus
• Must have strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to clearly communicate and share solutions with fellow team members
• Prefer experience with BI Reporting in general and Power BI in particular.
• Experience developing in VSCode and working with Git (source code management) is desirable.
• Aptitude and desire to learn and apply new technical concepts

To be effective in this role, you will need to learn (or preferably already know):

• Dynamics NAV/Dynamics BC in general and Jobs, Inventory, General Ledger and Manufacturing modules in particular.

• Business process knowledge in Job, Sales, Purchasing and Inventory.
• Basic knowledge of accounting.
