Junior Graphic Designer (Hourly) - Remote - Shield IL
SHIELD Illinois is a screening testing program and infrastructure that deploys the University of Illinois’ innovative saliva test across the state. SHIELD Illinois is actively seeking a highly motivated individual to report to our Graphic and Animation Designer to make compelling graphic designs for SHIELD Illinois.
- Visualize and create graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts, animations, billboards, and photos
- Create and develop visually appealing print and digital materials, including hand-outs, PowerPoint slides, billboards, and social media graphics/animations
- Organize and manage files, such as creative assets, projects, and exports to deliver content in a timely manner
- Communicating across multiple departments to gather relevant information needed for the completion of working projects
- Any other projects as needed
Required:
- Current student or recent graduate in an Art major or similar field
- Ability to manage files
- Excellent visual and graphic design skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Software skills (Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, productivity/project management software, other design software)
- Portfolio of work experience that shows skills and abilities
- Experience in social media or digital promotion
Preferred:
- Ability to understand information and translate it to visual/graphic formats
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in a startup environment
- Experience in a COVID testing environment
