Computer Vision (ML) Internship (Spring 2022)

Reports to: Lead Machine Learning Engineer
Location: Remote or New York City

Employment Type: Intern, Full-Time (40hrs/week, Mon-Fri)
Hourly Rate: $30 USD/hr

Position Mission Statement

This computer vision engineer is specifically focused on:

• Building engineering pipelines to host image processing and machine learning algorithms
• Experimenting, rating and delivering proof-of-concepts for state-of-the-art ML models

The ideal candidate will have a blend of traditional image processing skills as well as more advanced machine learning approaches along with an aptitude for designing systems and cloud-based workflows for ML operations.

Goals, Objectives, and Expected Results

• Collaborate with engineers and researchers on the Computer Vision team
• Drive research on latest image processing and computer vision techniques
• Work on a software pipelines that
• Collects data, automates training and deployment of ML models
• Bring algorithms and models on native mobile and web platforms
• Specifically improve AEDIT’s ability to:
• Scan human faces with a high fidelity and detect Aesthetic artifacts
• Deploy state-of-the-art ML models and leverage them for business

Job Competencies

• Pursuing MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Physics, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• Must haves skills:
• Tech
• Strong experience with Python and/or C++, OpenCV
• Any one or more of: PyTorch, Keras, TensorFlow, Caffe
• Familiarity with Standard CV/ML/Image Processing techniques: Object classification, template matching, image manipulation
• Non-tech
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Adept with creating documentation and reports
• Comfortable with a fast-paced start-up environment, agile
• Desirable but not required:
• iOS, AWS Lambda, AWS SageMaker
• Experience in developing real-time software for mobile applications
• AR Systems
• Multithreading and code optimization
• Image quality analysis, specifically in the medical field
• Qualities we look for:
