Intern, Software Engineer, PSET

Position Overview

We are seeking a back-end software developer Intern to join our Platform Services & Emerging Technologies (PSET) group, which is building the technology platform that underpins Autodesk solutions across all industries. This internship will involve one of many projects, to be decided according to skills and preferences.

Possible projects you could be working on include:

  • Improve and integrate existing onboarding technical content and tools (gather requirements with Research team)
  • Implement infrastructure for new developers (sandbox/playground, reusable code components)
  • Consolidate and automate existing analytics projects (data mining, dashboards)

Responsibilities

  • Work as an integral member of a high-performance team making an important individual contribution.
  • Create executive-level presentations detailing research findings and recommended actions
  • Work with internal product development engineering teams worldwide

Minimum Qualifications

  • You must be enrolled as a Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical field student at an accredited program in the US.
  • Knowledge in an OOP environment
  • Knowledge in web application development using REST and JSON
  • The ability to implement efficient and maintainable code.
  • Fluent in English. Written and verbal English skills are extremely important.
  • Ability to be patient and communicate across cultures.
  • Enjoy interacting with people – including one-on-one conversations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Git or equivalent revision control systems.
  • Web development related technology (preferably Node.js or .NET)
  • Some knowledge of front-end development

About the US Intern Program

The U.S. program runs from May through August for 12 weeks and will be remote (subject to change). All internships are paid. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects, be mentored by industry leaders, work alongside peers from universities all over the country and participate in tech talks and other activities designed to support your personal and professional development. US recruiting begins in the Fall and concludes end of March.
