For eight Foolish weeks as an editorial Intern, you'll be embedded with the Fool.com team that manages, edits, and publishes free content on our website that receives several million monthly sessions. In this internship, you will have hands-on experience working with editors and Bureau Chiefs to brainstorm, pitch, execute, edit, and publish free articles focused on investing topics. You may even get to write some yourself and publish under your own byline. You will gain exposure to the business development process - starting from the research stages to working with our Business Development Fool to form new content distribution partnerships that help us reach new audiences and diversify our prospect pool and ultimately our existing member base. You will work with editorial Fools to learn about the fundamentals of stock analysis across many sectors, the ins and outs of the editing process, how we manage our 100-strong contractor workforce, and our plans to become more Motley - both internally and pertaining to who we reach and serve.

You'll be challenged and mentored by some of our greatest editors all summer. In turn, you'll develop and refine skills around investing and personal finances, online content, business development, and marketing that will set you apart from your peers. This is a paid full-time (40 hrs/wk) internship from June - July, 2022, that will be fully remote, although we have office locations in Denver, CO and Alexandria, VA.

What you need to succeed:

• Passion for investing, content, and Fool.com’s mission of Smarter, Happier & Richer.
• Drive to research and brainstorm and courage to pitch out-of-this-world ideas.
• Writing, analysis, and communication skills.
• Ability to stay organized while managing several projects and follow through on tasks in a timely way.
• A collaborative spirit and desire to improve and iterate on projects based on feedback.
• Willingness to accept constructive criticism graciously and learn from coworkers.
• Flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced environment

What would be really cool of you to have, but not required:

• Experience with publishing, journalism, content marketing, or digital media.
• Interest in learning about business development projects focused on diversity, inclusion, belonging and succeeding.
• Experience with video or audio content, working with influencers or contract employees.
• Familiarity with basic concepts of investing and finance.
• Experience using CMS a plus
