The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Jr Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Changing healthcare.
• Redefining how healthcare providers deliver care to their patients, “patients first … systems second”.
• Reducing healthcare provider burn-out.
• Bring a new technology paradigm to how healthcare providers interact with electronic medical record systems.
• Introduce voice first healthcare solutions based on 3M’s market leading speech and natural language understanding technologies and solutions.
• Collaborating with a cross functional team of developers, architects and researchers - Audio Data Research Tooling – audio data processing, cataloging and data searching to support the creation of Machine Learning training sets, developing cloud deployed Virtual Assistant services for healthcare
• Determining technical implementations and processes in collaboration with our team of professionals. The teams are working on a virtual assistant platform for healthcare.
• Supporting our customers by designing secure, reliable and performant software solutions.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

OR

• High School Diploma/GED (completed and verified prior to start) and four (4) years experience in software development

• Experience with one or more of the following technologies: Javascript AND/OR React AND/OR C++/C# and/OR NoSQL databases AND/OR data experience (course work and internship work considered)

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Comfort level with cross team technical communication and design collaboration
• Skills include cloud platform technology design and development, security and privacy built in solution design and processes, GitHub experience, Agile development processes, Docker image deployments, Terraform and Kubernetes.
• Willingness to support our customers to ensure they receive the value and benefits of the system.

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic as needed

Relocation: May be considered

Location: REMOTE in the USA

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
